Shantui cold planers mill and texture asphalt and concrete pavements for road maintenance, highway resurfacing, airfield runways and port yards. The current line-up covers four models from 6.6 t to 28.5 t transport weight, with milling widths of 500 mm, 1000 mm and 2000 mm.
The range splits into compact wheeled planers for municipal and confined work, and a large tracked 2-metre planer for high-production milling. Conveyor, canopy, noise-reduction drum and remote-control configurations are available depending on the model. Common configurations include discharge conveyor with 25–65 degree swivel, sun canopy or open station, magnetic-rack cylinder levelling, water-spray system, conveyor camera and a noise-reduction (RM) drum for urban work. The SM200M-G HD can be ordered with a remote-control package. Engines meet China Stage IV; emission level, wiring and operator manuals can be adapted to the target market.
