Shantui
The L98K-G is a large-class wheel loader Shantui developed for heavy-duty port and mine work. It weighs 34500 kg, carries a 9500 kg rated load, has a 3800 mm wheelbase and a 5.6 m3 bucket, and is tuned for fuel-efficient heavy operation, comfortable control and easy servicing.
The Weichai WP13 Stage IV engine and imported ZF automatic transmission are matched for fast response and low engine droop on heavy shifts.
Weichai WP13 276 kW Stage IV engine with a Shantui-tuned low-speed, high-torque curve for fast response and little droop under load. Light, medium and heavy working modes cover different duties. A single-layer four-in-one radiator handles 50 C ambient work, and an independent thermostatic fan adjusts speed to water and oil temperature to save fuel and noise.
An imported ZF automatic powershift transmission shifts promptly and smoothly. Drawbar pull reaches 287 kN; the 4-forward / 3-reverse countershaft box uses helical gearing for durable drive. Automatic mode with KD downshifts one gear as the bucket bites into material, and the optional forced KD adapts to operator habits. A 10 t-class heavy drive axle with larger housing suits severe duty; the front axle has a limited-slip differential, and forced front-axle cooling is optional for extreme work.
A large, fully sealed ROPS/FOPS cab mounts on silicone-oil mounts to soften vibration; in-cab noise is as low as 74 dB(A). Rotating beacon and rear-view camera cut blind spots. A 7-inch anti-glare display shows live data and self-diagnosis alarms. The air-suspension heavy seat, self-aligning armrest and fingertip electric-proportional joystick add comfort, and the high-output air conditioner adds face-level vents.
An extra-heavy wide-spindle, long-wheelbase design spreads stress under heavy loads for high overload tolerance. The new linkage is efficient and strong: max lift capacity reaches 17.6 t and bucket breakout force 280 kN. Boom and bucket use high-strength and wear steel, and all work-tool pins are solid for longer life.
Automatic centralized lubrication is standard, with manual greasing points routed out as backup. The engine hood side door opens wide, and a wrap-around cab step and handrail simplify inspection. Service filters are routed out for easy checks, the fuel water separator alarms on water level, the centrifugal pre-cleaner is self-cleaning, and the cooling fan reverses for radiator cleaning. Hydraulic test ports are grouped for fast diagnostics.
