The SPM120-G MF is a 12 m mechanically assembled tracked asphalt paver for subgrade and pavement work on highways of all classes. Its 221 kW engine handles a maximum paving thickness of 550 mm and output up to 1,000 t/h.
The upgraded undercarriage uses 3,500 mm long tracks and a 60,000 Nm reducer, so the paver stays level under heavy dump trucks and turns under load. Electric pins, centralized electric lubrication, electric diesel spray and a truck-guidance system are fitted to keep the job simple.
The Cummins 221 kW engine meets China Stage IV emissions with low noise and strong output, covering a wide range of jobs. An ECO mode saves fuel and cuts noise, and the engine pre-filter extends air-filter service intervals for reliable operation.
An imported Finnish EPEC controller works with Shantui's smart management system for continuous, stable paving. A large color display monitors work parameters in real time and runs fault diagnosis. A MOBA contact-type leveling system comes standard for high accuracy and interference resistance. One-touch material distribution and one-touch cleaning simplify operation, and the upgraded three-parameter screed lifting control adapts to different jobs with imprint-free stops.
The upgraded screed has high structural strength and resists deformation. The base section is 2.5 m and maximum paving width reaches 12.0 m. Extension sections use a double-hook design for faster assembly. Each 0.5 m section has its own vibrator for even compaction quality, and the vibrator stays mounted during assembly. Gap-free steps keep passage safe, and a flip-up step gives more working room during setup.
The undercarriage uses 3,500 mm long tracks and an optimized machine layout, so heavy dump trucks do not lift the tail. High-pressure drive motors with a 60,000 Nm reducer raise travel drive by 30 percent for loaded turning. The 170-ratio reducer is matched to the travel system, and Shantui's three-parameter screed control gives imprint-free starts and stops with steady travel. The automatic tensioning system tensions the tracks with one button.
The large-capacity hopper takes material quickly and cuts truck-switch time for continuous paving on difficult sites. Twin flip cylinders speed up hopper closing and raise productivity. The thickened hopper bottom plate with high-strength supports stands up to truck weight.
Left/right independent conveyor and auger drives, with segmented material-level control and ultrasonic sensing, keep the material level stable and even. The conveyor has a reverse function to clear blockages. The narrow auger box with reverse paddles reduces center segregation, and large-diameter, large-pitch auger flights distribute material at low speed. The whole auger lifts hydraulically with no-tool bolts for quick changes between paving thicknesses.
The console slides left and right and tilts fore and aft to suit different operators. The floating seat swivels outside the machine for a clear view of paving. The fiberglass roof extends on both sides for shade and rain. A USB power port charges phones, and the seat armrest has a cup holder and phone slot. A manual hydraulic pump lifts the cab roof and exhaust pipe together for transport, and mirrors show the left and right auger material level.
The wide-opening engine hood and side doors put every pump, control valve and filter within reach. An electric centralized lubrication system greases the scraper conveyor and auger bearings automatically, and an electric diesel spray device simplifies asphalt cleanup and cuts daily service time.
