The SE420LC is a 42 t-class hydraulic excavator pairing a Weichai WP10.5H engine with Linde large-displacement hydraulics. It is tuned for high power output, low fuel use, low noise and fast response.
The machine covers a broad duty range, from road building and farmland water works to bridge, port, quarry, concrete and airport work.
Weichai WP10.5H excavator-specific engine rated 280 kW at 2000 rpm with 10.5 L displacement, tuned for fuel saving and low noise. A Linde large-displacement main pump and main valve, together with a high-torque swing drive, deliver fast response.
The cab is a reinforced one-piece profiled-steel-tube structure meeting ROPS/FOPS standards for impact protection. The air-suspension seat (optional) has adjustable lumbar support, seat depth and cushion angle. A lower front window and enlarged right glass area lift the field of view by about 10%, and TPE floor mats meet EU EN71-3 without odour.
Reinforced work equipment with optimized fatigue design extends service life. Shantui undercarriage draws on 40 years of four-roller and track-group development. The reinforced bucket uses special wear-resistant steel on its side and bottom plates, doubling abrasion life; bucket digging force reaches 279 kN.
Fuel and oil filters and the fuel-tank drain are grouped in the pump bay for quick checks. The engine hood uses two gas struts for light, easy opening, and the coolant filler has its own small access window for daily inspection.
Four working modes (heavy, economy, auto, breaker) and adjustable movement priority let the operator tune the machine to site habits. The proprietary controller matches pump and engine power to reduce engine droop and black smoke. A one-way/backhoe control-pattern switch is optional.
