Shantui
The EE500V is a 50 t-class cable-powered excavator fed from the mains through an overhead line with a lower-entry cable arrangement. A maintenance-free permanent-magnet synchronous motor delivers high torque at high efficiency, and the machine is aimed at open-pit mining, tunnelling and fixed-cycle loading work where a stable power supply is available.
With no diesel engine and no exhaust aftertreatment, the EE500V produces no tailpipe emissions and runs quietly, which suits underground, indoor and urban-adjacent sites that face strict emission rules. Shantui states running cost is more than 50% below a comparable diesel excavator.
Zero direct emissions and low noise meet green-construction requirements. Compared with a diesel excavator of the same class, operating cost is cut by more than half.
The maintenance-free permanent-magnet synchronous motor gives high torque and high energy efficiency. A discrete-element-optimized bucket shape improves wear resistance and speeds up digging and loading cycles.
The high-voltage system reaches IP65 protection, with earth-fault, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-current protection. The vehicle controller uses vector control, so inrush current is low and grid disturbance is small. The full electrical system is liquid-cooled for stable, reliable running.
A redesigned, low-noise, roomy cab with a strong air conditioner. Heavy-duty, economy and other working modes are available, and motor speed is adjustable in ten steps to match different duties.
