Surface-mining fleet support, Southeast Asia

Project background

A surface-mining operator in Southeast Asia was expanding an open-pit operation. The site runs on long shifts with steep haul ramps, heavy dust and a humid tropical climate. The operator needed one supplier able to cover both earthmoving and haulage, rather than sourcing machines from separate vendors.

Equipment applied

The fleet package combined Shantui bulldozers for bench preparation, access-road building and stockpile management with Sinotruk HOWO dump trucks for ore and waste haulage. Both machine groups share Weichai diesel power, FAST transmissions and HanDe axles — parts and training therefore stay common across the yard.

Group brands have exhibited integrated mining solutions at the Indonesia mining exhibition for the Southeast Asian market, covering dozing, hauling and power support as one package.

Partnership & support

Equipment was configured for mine-site duty: sealed electrical systems, high-cooling-capacity packs and heavy-duty air filtration. Export documentation, commissioning on site and operator handover training were handled by the group's export team. A recommended first-wear-parts stock was quoted alongside the fleet to reduce downtime in the ramp-up phase.

Results

The machines were integrated into the pit's existing shift schedule alongside the operator's mixed fleet. No production figures, uptime data or contract volumes have been published by the operator, so none are quoted here. Repeat orders and local-agent cooperation in the region follow group announcements rather than this specific site.
