The EE245-X is a battery-electric crawler excavator with an operating weight of 25,680 kg. It is built around a 528 kWh battery pack and a maintenance-free water-cooled permanent-magnet motor rated at 150 kW, with peak output of 250 kW. A dual-gun fast-charge inlet is standard, and a full charge takes no more than two hours.
The positive-flow hydraulic system keeps combined movements smooth and free of shock. The battery frame uses a layered, shock-damped structure for extra strength and stability. With zero tailpipe emissions and low noise, the machine suits municipal works, tunnels and other enclosed spaces, and performs well at high altitude where diesel engines lose efficiency.
The high-reliability permanent-magnet motor is rated at 150 kW with peak output of 250 kW. It runs with zero emissions, low energy consumption and no scheduled maintenance. Custom high-torque swing and travel motors deliver strong swing performance and tractive effort.
Precision flow-sharing control regulates each pump independently during boom-and-arm combined movements to match flow demand exactly. The positive-flow hydraulic circuit keeps combined movements smooth and quiet with little shock.
A 528 kWh battery is managed by AIOC hydraulic-power matching technology that adapts output to the duty cycle for long shifts on a single charge. DC dual-gun fast charging brings the pack from empty in under two hours. A 10.1-inch touchscreen and CAN instrument cluster support smart human-machine interaction and remote OTA updates. High-voltage interlock and charge/discharge safety strategies protect personnel and keep the machine running steadily.
Platform stress structure has been optimized with more than 700 kg of added material, and the cover framework gains another 500 kg. The battery frame is built as a layered, damped box. Large-section boom and arm are reinforced at main load points with an integrated design that avoids stress concentration. Robotic welding and UT inspection of welds keep the machine dependable in severe duty.
A high-capacity compressor and PTC heater heat or cool the cab within five minutes, with no need to start the machine first.
The TMS and BMS interact in real time, switching between shutdown, self-circulation and cooling modes to match cooling output precisely to battery demand and save energy. A split oil/water cooler with dynamically controlled electric fans matches airflow to heat load and runs slower when possible to save power and reduce noise.
A floor-window cab gives a wide field of view, with standard rear-view and right-side cameras to remove blind spots. The cab uses a special-shaped tube frame that meets ROPS and OPG safety certification. Silicone-oil sealed dampers and a stiffer cab floor reduce cab shake and operator fatigue. An air-suspension seat comes standard, and the quiet permanent-magnet motor startup keeps in-cab noise as low as 69 dB.
