Introduction

The STR15-G is a 16 t-class rake dozer designed for bulk handling on ports. Its main job is cleaning and trimming holds of bulk carriers, and it also pushes loose material at power plants and quay-side storage yards.

A Dongfeng Cummins B5.9CS4 electronic engine rated at 117 kW meets China Stage IV. The aftertreatment uses EGR + DOC + DPF, so no diesel exhaust fluid is needed, which keeps running cost down in port duty cycles.

The frame and work equipment are reinforced for the vibration of hold work, and the long track contact length and high clearance keep the machine mobile on stockpiles and over pier decks.

Applications

The STR15-G works inside ship holds to sweep remaining bulk cargo to the hatch for the grab, then levels the cargo surface during trimming. The same machine is used at coal and ore yards and for stockpile handling at power plants.

Technical features

• Power System. Dongfeng Cummins B5.9CS4 electronic engine meeting China Stage IV, with an EGR + DOC + DPF aftertreatment that needs no diesel exhaust fluid. The front and rear mounting structure is reinforced for the vibration of rake-dozer duty, extending engine life.
• Drivetrain. The driveline is matched to the engine torque curve for a wider high-efficiency band. It is built by Shantui and proven in the field.
• Control. Travel uses mechanical-linkage controls that carry over familiar habits from earlier Stage III machines. The work equipment is pilot-controlled for accurate inching, and an 8-inch display integrates the rear-view camera.
• Operator Environment. Enlarged pressurized ROPS/FOPS cab with wide visibility, integrated rear HVAC with fresh-air mode, Bluetooth radio and USB ports, so long hold shifts stay comfortable.
• Site Adaptability. A proven Shantui undercarriage handles rough yard surfaces. Long ground contact length and high clearance give stable travel and good gradeability. Six LED work lights are standard for night shifts on deck.
• Service & Maintenance. Three-stage fuel filtration with cartridges grouped for fast servicing; the side hood opens fully for wide access; the work valves sit externally and the travel and transmission filters are grouped, cutting routine service time.
