Shantui
The Shantui SD90-C5 RS is the company's flagship mining dozer at about 106 t. Optimized matching of its engine, drivetrain, hydraulics and electrics keeps fuel use and noise down, while the electric travel control lowers operator effort and supports preset working modes.
The heavy undercarriage with elastic roller suspension is built for the most demanding sites, where it lifts productivity and cuts operating cost.
The SD90-C5 is specified for open-pit mining and heavy earthworks. A high-altitude (HL) variant shares the same powertrain and frame for plateau projects.
The electronic-control engine meets China non-road Stage III emission requirements with high reliability. A suction-type thermostatic fan with reverse self-cleaning saves energy and keeps the cooler clean.
A lock-up torque converter adapts torque to load: hydraulic drive at low speed, mechanical drive at high speed, cutting fuel use by 10-15%. A normally closed brake provides parking braking and guards against hill roll-back.
Travel uses an electric single lever with fingertip shifting, and work equipment uses a pilot single lever for light, precise control.
The ergonomic cab is spacious with good visibility and fully sealed, keeping noise at the operator's ear down to 80 dB(A), on par with EU limits. A high-power HVAC feeds air through thoughtfully placed vents, and the interior uses molded ABS plus PVC trim for a clean, durable finish.
The matched heavy undercarriage lasts longer in severe duty. Long ground contact and high clearance give a smooth ride and good mobility, and K-type elastic roller suspension widens the track contact area for stronger traction on uneven ground. Bright LED work lights make night work safer.
A surrounding safety access makes service safer and easier. The whole machine is modular for simple assembly and repair, wiring harnesses run through seamless corrugated tubes with a high protection rating, and core electrical and hydraulic components are globally sourced.

Variant meanings: RS = rock duty, HL = high-altitude configuration.
Choose the RS rock configuration for open-pit overburden, or the HL high-altitude variant for plateau projects. Both share the QST30 powertrain, semi-U blade and single-shank ripper, with the HL variant fitted with a purpose high-altitude blade.
