Shantui
The SD17-G is a 17 t-class torque-converter crawler bulldozer with a Weichai WP9H engine. Three selectable power modes cover light (120 kW), medium (131 kW) and heavy (140 kW) load, switchable at the touch of a button; a 152 kW engine option is available for heavier push work.
The drivetrain is shared with the proven SD16 platform, with the converter, gearbox, central drive and final drive all built by Shantui. The machine targets earthmoving, backfilling and loose-material handling on road, water, bridge and quarry sites.
The Weichai WP9H electronic engine meets China non-road Stage IV emissions with low fuel consumption. Three power modes (120 / 131 / 140 kW) are matched to actual load, and a 152 kW engine option is offered for heavier dozing.
Shared with the SD16 bulldozer, the drivetrain has a long market record. The torque converter, gearbox, central drive and final drive are all Shantui-manufactured, and the converter tuning gives high transmission efficiency.
Travel uses a single electro-hydraulic lever that combines shifting, direction and steering, cutting operator effort by 77%. Gears can be preset (F1/R1 or F1/R2), the work equipment is pilot-controlled, and an 8-inch LCD integrates the rear-view camera.
The enlarged pressurized ROPS/FOPS cab gives a wide field of view with a rear air conditioner and fresh-air exchange standard. Padded adjustable armrests, Bluetooth radio, USB, storage box, cup holder and sunblind complete the package.
The Shantui undercarriage is built for long ground contact and smooth running. Configurations include straight-tilt, semi-U, U, coal, municipal or angle blade, drawbar and ripper. Six LED work lights and a 345 L fuel tank raise endurance by 15%.
Three-stage fuel filtration with centralized filters, lubrication-free fan shaft and water-pump bearings, fully openable side guards and external work valves keep service simple; centralized shift and steering filters save about 60% of maintenance time.
