The Shantui DE26-X3 is a battery-electric crawler dozer. Its pure-electric driveline produces no exhaust at the machine, so Shantui positions it for sites with strict environmental rules - typically power plants and coal yards, where it pushes, stockpiles and backfills loose bulk material.
A large lithium iron phosphate battery pack carries 453 kWh of on-board energy and supports dual-gun fast charging. Per Shantui, one charge handles about 3-4 hours of heavy-duty work or 4-5 hours at light to medium duty. The wheel-side direct-drive transmission uses load-adaptive control for fast power response, and overall work efficiency is said to improve by more than 10%.
The sealed cab keeps noise below 75 dB at the operator's ear, and Shantui quotes total operating cost more than 60% below a comparable diesel dozer. On the Shantui SSC (Smart Construction) platform the machine can be upgraded toward AI operation - work-condition assessment, dynamic path planning and centimeter-grade blade control.
